South Korean boy band Super Junior to perform in city

Well-known South Korean boy band Super Junior will perform at the Military Zone 7 Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City on May 7.

Vietnam is the last destination of the group’s Super Show 3 concert performance. The group’s third Asia tour started last August and toured Seoul, Beijing, Shanghai, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Manila and Taipei.

Super Junior was formed in 2005 by SM Entertainment, and is the largest boy band in South Korea. The group consists of Leeteuk (in the lead), Heechul, Han Geng, Yesung, Kang-in, Shindong, Sungmin, Eunhyuk, Donghae, Siwon, Ryeowook, Kibum and Kyuhyun.

The band has had successful releases and contributed to 20 different kinds of records. They have earned seven music awards at the M.net Asian Music Awards, eleven Golden Disk Awards and Favorite Artist Korea at the 2008 MTV Asia Awards.
Some of their popular pieces include “Show Me Your Love,” “U,” “Don’t Don,” “Miracle” and “Sorry Sorry” that have hit many music charts and have received great response from audiences.

The well-known 13-member boy band won the hearts of more than 40,000 Vietnamese young music lovers in a free concert called ‘MTV EXIT Live in Hanoi’ last March.
