Rockers Microwave return in “Time”

Update at 30/03/2010 10:53

It’s been four years since the rock band, Microwave, released its first album. Recently, the band released its sophomore effort, noted for its melodies and sentimental lyrics.

“We have not been influenced by Linkin Park’s ‘Nu Metal’ genre on this album. We have chosen to express ourselves through modern rock,” said guitarist Ngoc Tung.

The second album by Microwave may be strange to some fans. “With this product, we wanted to emphasize the melody, which is often neglected in Vietnamese rock songs,” Ngoc Tung explained.

Their new approach is revealed in the sentimental lyrics and soft melodies of songs like “Only Dream” or “Mother.” The record includes the stories and feelings of each member of Microwave over the last four years, which is why they named it “Time.”

Beyond their melodic offerings, “Time” also includes rock songs with lively riffs, such as “Night Trip” and “Liar.”

The band worked on the album for over a year and they expect that sales will exceed the 3000 copies of the first album.

The band plans to hold live shows in Hanoi and HCM City in the near future.
