Chief representative of the Wallonie-Bruxelles Delegation in Vietnam Franck Pezza expressed his delight at the participation of Belgium artists in the 2010 Hue Festival as saying that “This will promote cultural diversity and show respect for peoples’ individual cultural identities”.

Since 2000 when it was held for the first time, the Hue Festival has become one of Vietnam’s biggest annual events, and one of the most important cultural events in the region.

After the Hue Festival, the art troupes will give free performances in some northern provinces to promote tourism and sustainable development of Vietnamese villages.
