Art progamme to be held on National Day

A major art performance called ‘Proud of the Word Vietnam’ will be held at Hoan Kiem lake in Hanoi on September 2 to celebrate the 65th National Day and the countdown to the capital’s1000th anniversary.

The performance will include hundreds of artists, actors and choruses of the Tuoi Tre (Youth) Theatre, the Vietnam Play Theatre, the Vietnam Classical Opera Theatre, and the Vietnam Dance School along with other children.

A performance of the Vietnamese martial art, Vovinam, will be part of the programme to highlight the national spirit of sportsmanship.

The programme will be in five parts depicting the history of the name ‘Vietnam’ through the country’s past and present development and the 1,000 years of Thang Long-Hanoi. (VNA)
